Vicar takes to the skies (September 2011)

In September 2010 our vicar, Nicky Carnall, was privileged to go on a visit to the 9 Regiment Army Air Corps at Dishforth Airfield. The aim was to increase understanding about the purpose of the Army Air Corps and to show appreciation to clergy for their ministry to members of the Regiment who live in the area.

The group was flown in a Lynx helicopter over their parishes and then to Whitby and back. They were also given a presentation by Commanding Officer Lt Col Mike Keating about the work of the 9 Regiment Army Air Corps.
