Sowerby Parochial Church Hall

Built in the 1930s, the Sowerby Parochial Church Hall was extensively refurbished in 2004/05 and is now one of the very best equipped halls in the district.

The main hall is about 55 ft x 33 ft in size and the smaller meeting room around 30 ft x 15 ft.

There is a large fully equipped kitchen; ladies, gents and disabled toilets, a spacious entrance vestibule; and generous car parking.

The Entertainment Licence capacity of the main hall is 120 people. The meeting room can hold up to 40 people.

The main hall and meeting room are booked by a wide variety of community groups and booking levels have steadily increased across the past few years from 60 to 100 per month. It is estimated that over 30,000 people make use of the hall every year. Whilst the main hall is very extensively used, there is greater scope to find available space in the meeting room.
