Messy Church

Messy Church is a place for adults and children of all ages to learn together. An opportunity to discover God’s love. Crafts for all ages, construction and play area for young children, story and song time for all ages and a meal to share with everyone. There is no need to book a place, just turn up to the Parochial Hall on the day! 11.00am to 1.00pm.

Pram Service

12.30pm on the 1st Friday in the month, except during school holidays. A 30 minute service in church especially for pre-school children and their carers. Songs, stories, prayers and activities. Followed by a children’s lunch in the Parochial Hall plus tea and coffee for carers.

Kids Club

2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays in the month during the 10.30 am service. Also special events (holiday clubs, craft days etc). For more information email kidsclub@stoswaldsowerby.org.uk


First Friday

First Friday is a group for children aged 5 to 12 years. Every first Friday of the month, except during school holidays, in Sowerby Methodist Church rooms. Children aged 5 to 7 years meet at 6.00 - 7.00pm, 8 to 12 year olds meet 7.30 - 9.00pm.  Each session includes crafts, games, Bible stories through Godly Play, songs and creative prayer. The group is led by children's workers from St. Oswald's and Sowerby Methodist churches and all children are welcome. St Oswald's Youth

For young people aged 11 to 18. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings in the month. We share fellowship with friends through fun and Christian learning with art, crafts, drama, dance, games, making, baking and creating! For more information email youthgroup@stoswaldsowerby.org.uk

Please talk to Revd Nicky Carnall if you would like to be confirmed so that preparation can be arranged. The next deanery confirmation service will be on Sunday 24 June 2012; venue to be confirmed.
